The Starter Pack for Windows released on 20 July 2007 and the Promotion Disc distributed at GC2006 contain all necessary data including the “PlayOnline Viewer”, “Tetra Master” and the Expansion Packs for “Final Fantasy XI”. However, these packages are meant to be for beginners and therefore do not contain registration codes for “Final Fantasy XI” Expansion Packs.
This means that holders of theses packages will need to obtain a separate registration code in order to play each Expansion Pack.

How to purchase registration codes
1. Select “Service & Support” from the main menu of the PlayOnline Viewer. Then select “Membership” from the menu that appears and enter your PlayOnline ID and Password if asked.
2. Click the “Please select a category” button at the bottom of the screen and select “Purchase Optional Services” under the “Contents” group of categories.
3. Select “Registration Code”, then select the “Next” button.
4. Read the document entitled “What is the ‘Expansion Pack Registration Codes’ service?" carefully. Check ”Agree to the above and begin procedures” if you acknowledge and agree to the terms and conditions. Then, select “Next” to begin the purchasing process.
* A copy of any registration code issued through this service will be sent to the e-mail address provided to us by you and maintained with your Member Information. It will also be sent to your PlayOnline e-mail address. You may need the registration code later to have our Information Center serve you better, so please make sure to print and retain a copy. Please check if your currently registered e-mail address is valid before proceeding to purchase a registration code.
5. Select the Expansion Pack for which you wish to buy the registration code. Then, select the “Next” button to proceed.
6. Depending on your payment method you chose when registering with POL, you can confirm either that the desired Expansion Pack is displayed on the screen or that your payment details are correct. Then, you can either select the “Purchase” button to complete the purchase of the registration code for this Expansion Pack, or you can select the “Pay” button and pay for the expansion pack which you previously chose.
7. The registration code you have just purchased will be shown on the screen upon completion of your purchase. The registration of the purchased Expansion Pack will also be completed at this time.

The sale of registration codes on PlayOnline is aimed at PlayOnline members who have already purchased a “Final Fantasy XI” Content ID and who have yet to complete their registrations for the Expansion Packs, “Rise of the Zilart”, “Chains of Promathia” and “Treasures of Aht Urhgan”.
