The following section focuses on the four expansion packs that have expanded the borders of Vana’diel’s world and changed the way adventurers experience the game.

The mission progression data included in this section is based only on players who have installed the expansion and accepted mission offers.

Let’s start out with the Rise of the Zilart and Chains of Promathia missions.

The first thing that should grab your attention is the high level of progression shared by most characters.

A point worth mentioning is that the percentage of characters who have accepted the mission offer for the final Chains of Promathia mission “Emptiness Bleeds” has increased 14% since last year. Also, the percentage of characters who have accepted the mission offer for “The Last Verse,” which can only be taken on by characters who have beaten all of the missions from both Rise of the Zilart and Chains of Promathia, has increased by 8%.

One possible reason for this result could be that characters can now still wear their favorite equipment even in level-restricted areas. This is especially helpful for Chains of Promathia, which is known for its large number of battles in level-restricted areas.

The percentage of characters who have completed “Eternal Mercenary” has increased 8% since last year and, because the progression for the missions before that are on the rise, it seems that the mission progression is going along very well. There are some missions that have very high concentrations of players compared to other missions, and these are all missions requiring combat in battlefields.

Lastly, we will take a look at Wings of the Goddess. Keep in mind that characters accepting quest offers are included in the statistics for the last mission they have completed.

In the unique expansion pack Wings of the Goddess, missions and quests have been woven together in a massive storyline with new missions continuously added through version updates.

Just like Rise of the Zilart and Chains of Promathia, many players seem to be playing the first half of the expansion. There is also a concentration of players on “In the Name of the Father,” most likely because it is a battlefield mission. “Crossroads of Time” has an even higher percentage of players, not only because it includes a battlefield, but also because there are so many players on the edges of their seats starving for more of the epic storyline.

We hope that you can take something from the results of our research, even if only to realize, “Hey! There are a lot of players out there working on the same mission as me!”In the next version update, we plan to add several thrilling new missions to Wings of the Goddess.
