Did you enjoy poring over this year's data—from perennial favorites such as the most popular auctioned items to new categories like Voidwatch mission progression, atmacite distribution, and other assorted tidbits and trivia? The years keep adding up, yet each one brings with it new discoveries.

Speaking of years adding up, FINAL FANTASY XI been up and running officially for ten years as of May! Ever since the first adventurers stepped foot on Vana'diel, our development and operations teams have striven to join with you, the users, by holding numerous events and introducing a wide range of updates to make your playing experience as satisfying as possible, because where would the realm be without you? For these past ten years, you heroes and heroines have descended upon our realm in droves, you've formed powerful parties to fell fearsome fiends, and you've lit up the world socially with linkshells. Each and every excursion you've embarked upon here has contributed in some way to the FINAL FANTASY XI community and made these past ten years so rewarding. I firmly believe that Vana'diel grows and matures with each acquaintance made and each farewell said across its vast lands, and I am convinced those magical exchanges will continue to take place for a long time to come.

Both Vana'diel and its adventurers continue to evolve as one, birthing new styles of play along the way. Each expansion pack, add-on scenario, and battle area expansion has ushered in new wonders to our realm, and adventurers are now more puissant than ever—many reaching level 99 last year.

Now, continuing this spirit of progress and change, comes our fifth expansion pack, which promises to challenge players with new quests, jobs, and a host of other content. That's not all, though! With new battle content, expansions upon existing content, job adjustments, merit point category expansion, an interface overhaul and much, much more are all set to be unleashed independently of the expansion, it's never been a better time to be an adventurer in Vana'diel!

Next May will mark the eleventh year of service for FINAL FANTASY XI, and whether it is via the test server or on the forums, we ask that you join us on our quest to make Vana'diel a better place for its next landmark anniversary!
