In celebration of the second installment of Echoes of Vana'diel (San d'Oria: The Second Walk) being added to FINAL FANTASY XIV as part of its collaboration with FINAL FANTASY XI, FFXI is also bringing back three of its previous events.

This time, we are bringing back The Shadow Lord's Dominion event for its third and final appearance!

In conjunction with the event's return, the Cushaw Lantern will be added to the list of items that can be traded for with the Curator Moogle.

Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at 1:00 a.m. (PDT) to Sunday, November 9, at 6:59 a.m. (PST)

As part of this event, equipment based on the Shadow Lord's storied weapons will be available as spoils for completing the ★Rank 5 Mission battlefield!
Note: There will be no changes to the spoils that could be earned from the battlefield in August and September.

★Rank 5 Mission Requirements

- Be level 95 or higher
- Complete the Rank 5 Mission
- You must be in possession of the "Shadow Lord phantom gem" key item

You can obtain a Shadow Lord phantom gem from one of the NPCs listed below in exchange for 10 Merit Points.

About the Battlefield

You can enter the battlefield by examining the Throne Room.

The restrictions for the battlefield are as follows:
- Level restrictions: None
- Party limit: 6 people
- Time limit: 30 minutes

There are 5 difficulty levels*, ranging from Very Easy to Very Difficult, and you can select your preferred level when entering the battlefield.

* The first time you attempt the battle, you can choose from Very Easy, Easy, and Normal.
* Once you clear the Normal difficulty level, Difficult and Very Difficult will also be unlocked.

About the Spoils

After completing the battlefield, you may receive the following items.
Please note that although you may obtain them on any level of difficulty, you will be more likely to obtain them on higher levels.

- Lament (Great Sword)

- Extinction (Sword)

- Nihility (Sword)

This month, you can trade for the Cushaw Lantern.

You can also trade for the items that appeared in August and September!
