It's that time of year again, as the Blazing Buffaloes event stampedes its way into Vana'diel for a limited time only!
The Mog House Management Union has secretly launched a new enterprise, calling it the Buffalo Bonanza Ranch! Capture the wild buffaloes that were raised in the snow-capped mountains and raise them to be kind and gentle in order to help line the moogles' pockets! Or at least that was the plan, until everything went amiss...
Also, collecting bovine brands and giving them to the moogle lets you earn up to one #FES dial key per Earth day that can be used with the Gobbie Mystery Box. The #FES dial key allows you to use the Festival Dial, which contains spoils from content such as high-tier mission battlefields and high-tier avatar battlefields.
Speak to a moogle in one of the following locations in order to confirm the details of the event. Once you hear the explanation, you will receive a bovine brand card.
The bovine brand card is a special item that enables you to keep track of how many bovine brands you have acquired during the event.

2. Gain the ability to guide the wild buffaloes
Speak to the moogle again and receive the appropriate level restrictions.
While you are under the effect of the level restrictions, you will be unable to attack or be attacked by monsters. Changing areas or logging out will remove these restrictions.
* You can confirm whether level restrictions are enabled or not by checking your status icon.
3. Guide the wild buffaloes
Guide the wild buffaloes within the field to the moogle known as the Mog Cowboy!
Cows
You will receive 7 bovine brands for each cow you successfully turn in.
Cows are extremely aggressive, so be sure to guide them from behind rather than head-on.
Calves
You will receive 1 bovine brand for each calf you successfully turn in.
These obedient calves will follow the scent of their mother. Apply their mother's scent to the moogle, or guide the mother to the moogle instead.
* There is a limit to how many times you can apply the mother's scent to the moogle.
■ Watch out for bulls and chigoes!
Bulls
You do not receive any bovine brands for capturing bulls.
These parental buffaloes are extremely aggressive. They'll even use Cattlepult against any adventurers they encounter! If you are hit with Cattlepult, the force of the blow will knock you back to a distant area, so do your best to avoid this powerful attack!
According to various rumors, however, the Drover's Mantle that is available from this event can help protect you against Cattlepult.
Chigoes
The buffaloes absolutely detest chigoes.
If you encounter a chigoe while herding buffalo, use Examine to chase it off.
4. Collect bovine brands and get your reward
Trade the bovine brand card to the moogle known as the Mog Cowboy to exchange your bovine brands for various items.
■ Vaquero Hat
■ Buffalo Cap
■ Aldebaran Horn
■ Other rewards
The festival dial is a special dial that gives you a chance to obtain rewards from high-tier mission battlefields and high-tier avatar battlefields such as ★The Orb's Radiance and ★Divine Interference that were previously unavailable from other dials.
You need an #FES dial key in order to use the festival dial, which can be obtained by fulfilling certain conditions in each seasonal event.
During the Blazing Buffaloes event, collect bovine brands and trade them to the moogle known as the Mog Cowboy in order to acquire an #FES dial key. So take on the activities bit by bit each day and something good might happen!
* You can acquire one #FES dial key per day (Earth time).
