In celebration of the third installment of Echoes of Vana'diel (Windurst: The Third Walk) being added to FINAL FANTASY XIV as part of Patch 7.5, FFXI is also conducting various events to help mark this special occasion.
This time, we are bringing back “The Shadow Lord's Dominion” event for its third and final appearance!
In conjunction with the event's return, the Cushaw Lantern will be added to the list of items that can be traded for with the Curator Moogle.
Furthermore, following up from the previous appearance of this event, the Shadow Lord has prepared his weapon Travesty as a reward while he awaits your challenge. In addition to the Regain status effect, this great sword also includes the possibility of using weapon skills without consuming TP, so be sure to pick it up when you have the time!
Note: The Travesty item has been left with the Curator Moogle. Once the event has started, make sure to check the items needed for the trade.

Friday, October 16, 2026, at 1:00 a.m. (PDT) to Monday, November 9, 2026, at 6:59 a.m. (PST)

As part of this event, equipment based on the Shadow Lord's storied weapons will be available as spoils for completing the ★Rank 5 Mission battlefield!
Note: There will be no changes to the spoils that could be earned from the battlefield in August and September.

・Complete the Rank 5 Mission
・You must be in possession of the "Shadow Lord phantom gem" key item
You can obtain a Shadow Lord phantom gem from one of the NPCs listed below in exchange for 10 merit points.
The restrictions for the battlefield are as follows:
・Level restrictions: None
・Party limit: 6 people
・Time limit: 30 minutes
There are 5 difficulty levels (*), ranging from Very Easy to Very Difficult, and you can select your preferred level when entering the battlefield.
* The first time you attempt the battle, you can choose from Very Easy, Easy, and Normal.
* Once you clear the Normal difficulty level, Difficult and Very Difficult will also be unlocked.
Please note that although you may obtain them on any level of difficulty, you will be more likely to obtain them on higher levels.
・Lament (Great Sword)
・Extinction (Sword)
・Nihility (Sword)
You can also trade for the items that appeared in August and September!
Speak to the Curator Moogle in one of the following areas to check the items needed to make the exchange.
Once you have gathered the necessary items, speak to the Curator Moogle to make the exchange.
