More Strange Happenings in Vana'diel (05/13/2026)
We will soon be launching the second iteration of the "Strange Happenings in Vana'diel" event, which commemorates the "Echoes of Vana'diel" crossover content between FINAL FANTASY XI and FINAL FANTASY XIV.
Out of nowhere, giant monsters have appeared in places where they most definitely do not belong. These unexpected visitors have the potential to throw the surrounding areas into utter chaos. Therefore, we are calling upon all available adventurers to help investigate this incident and defeat the invaders! Additionally, it's rumored that the monsters may drop rather unusual materials when defeated.
There are also rumors that even more kinds of monsters are roaming the land than in the previous iteration of the event...

The "Real" Archduke of Jeuno, Back in the Spotlight Yet Again (05/13/2026)
In celebration of the third installment of Echoes of Vana'diel (Windurst: The Third Walk) being added to FINAL FANTASY XIV as part of Patch 7.5, FFXI is also bringing back the related event.
As part of this event, equipment based on Kam'lanaut's beloved weapon and shield, as well as the "sheet of Jeuno tunes" key item will be available as spoils for completing the ★Return to Delkfutt's Tower battlefield!
In conjunction with the event's return, Kam'lanaut has prepared the Archduke's Sword and the Archduke's Shield as special rewards while he awaits your challenge. This event is specifically designed to let new and veteran adventurers alike participate, so be sure to take advantage of this opportunity.
Note: The Archduke's Sword and Archduke's Shield have been left with the Curator Moogle. Once the event has started, make sure to check the items needed for the trade.

Play Seasonal Events to Get Items Such as an Archduke's Shield! (05/13/2026)
There have been countless items added to the game over the years, including some that were available via limited-time events that are not currently scheduled to return or otherwise only featured limited chances to acquire them. Therefore, we have decided to introduce this special opportunity on a trial basis to either make these items available again or provide an easier, limited-time method to obtain them.
The eligible items this time are the Archduke's Sword, Archduke's Shield, and the ??? statue. The Archduke's Sword is a powerful magical sword ideal for both beginners and veterans alike, while the Archduke's Shield includes the Refresh effect.
The ??? statue is a furnishing modeled after the notorious monster that appears in the upcoming More Strange Happenings in Vana'diel event. Placing it in your Mog House provides you with a Moghancement effect, so it's definitely worth playing through the event to obtain the item.

The May Version Update Has Landed! (05/11/2026)
May brings with it the addition of combat skills and magic skills to the alter ego points system, increased hallmarks and badges of gallantry for certain difficulty levels in Ambuscade, and the Trust Primer has been added to the rewards available based on total hallmarks earned.
In an effort to further improve the character progression system, we plan to update the game with new features, including the ability to automatically accept objectives in the Records of Eminence, as well as new tutorial and game content objectives.
